El veredicto
¿Vale la pena para su luna de miel?
Adler Lodge Ritten is the most secluded luxury hotel in the Dolomites — 20 standalone larch-and-stone chalets and 30 main-building rooms scattered across a forested clearing on the Renon plateau at 1,200 metres above Bolzano, with a year-round heated outdoor saltwater infinity pool that frames the Latemar peaks like a postcard. The Sanoner family — fifth-generation South Tyrolean hoteliers who also operate the sister Adler Spa Resort Dolomiti in Ortisei — opened this property in 2017 as their adult-only wellness flagship, and the clarity of vision is total: there are no televisions in the chalets, no children under 14, no day visitors, no Wi-Fi in the common areas (only in the rooms, by request), and the entire 5-acre property is car-free (you walk from a central drop-off). The signature spaces are the outdoor saltwater infinity pool with the Latemar view (open year-round, heated to 32°C), the forest spa with its panoramic Finnish sauna, biosauna, herbal steam, salt-and-stone room, ice grotto, and a series of treatment rooms with floor-to-ceiling forest views. The chalets are standalone 538-sq-ft larch wood structures with a private terrace, a freestanding bath at the window, a fireplace, and direct access to the forest paths. Hiking is the second hour-of-the-day activity here — the Ritten / Renon plateau is famous for its earth pyramids (the eroded geological columns at Soprabolzano), the cable car down to Bolzano (8 minutes for the historic Old Town), and the gentlest meadow hikes in the Alps. For honeymooners, the moves are: a Chalet (the 538-sq-ft entry tier) is excellent value; the Chalet Penthouse (the top-floor of one of the main buildings, with private terrace) is the upgrade; and the Family Suites are larger but rarely needed for couples. Dining is included as half-board — modern South Tyrolean cuisine drawing on the Sanoner family farms — and is genuinely excellent without chasing Michelin stars. Caveats: the location at Soprabolzano is 12 minutes from Bolzano by cable car and 1h–1h30 from Cortina or Alta Badia by car — this is a base for the western Dolomites (Latemar, Catinaccio, Schlern), not the famous Tre Cime side; the rate is high but not Forestis-high; and the architecture, while beautiful, is less photographed than Forestis. But for couples who want the gentlest, quietest, most genuinely intimate Dolomites honeymoon — adult-only, chalet-led, with a saltwater infinity pool framing the Latemar at sunset — Adler Lodge Ritten is the most strongly honeymoon-fit property in the region.

Recomendación de habitación
Qué habitación reservar
The Chalet (538 sq ft) is the entry tier and the experience — standalone larch wood, private terrace, freestanding bath at the window, fireplace, all the privacy of a villa with the service of a hotel. For the upgrade, the Chalet Penthouse in one of the main buildings adds the higher floor and the panoramic Latemar view. Family Suites are larger but unnecessary for couples. Request a chalet at the forest edge (not the central courtyard) for the best privacy and forest views.
