Twenty rooms in the main mansion, the two-Michelin-star Le Parc restaurant under chef Philippe Mille (one of the finest tables in northern France), the casual Le Jardin brasserie, an extraordinary champagne cellar (a 1,500-reference list), and the only luxury hotel in Reims itself with garden grounds — which means you can walk to the Pommery and Ruinart cellars in 15 minutes and to the cathedral in 25. Reims Cathedral
Walk 25 minutes (or hotel car) to Notre-Dame de Reims — the Gothic cathedral where 33 French kings were crowned, the 13th-century stained glass, the Chagall windows, and the Smiling Angel. The Palais du Tau next door for the coronation regalia. Lunch at Le Foch. Late afternoon at the Crayères pool.
Pommery and Ruinart Cellars
Walk 15 minutes to Pommery (the closest house — Madame Pommery's 1860 mock-Tudor cellars are spectacular) for the morning visit. Lunch at the Crayères Jardin brasserie. Afternoon at Ruinart (the oldest champagne house, 1729 chalk cellars 30m below ground). Return for the second Mille dinner.
Épernay Avenue de Champagne
Drive 25 minutes south to Épernay for the day — Moët & Chandon's 28km of cellars for the spectacle, Pol Roger for the small-house intimate visit (Churchill's house), lunch at La Cave à Champagne. Drive 10 minutes up to Hautvillers for the Dom Pérignon abbey. Late return.
Krug and Bollinger Visits
The grand-house honeymoon day — a pre-booked private visit at Krug in Reims in the morning (the only house using exclusively cask-aged base wines, prestige tastings of the Grande Cuvée and Clos du Mesnil if requested). Drive 30 minutes south to Aÿ for an afternoon at Bollinger (the RD tasting). Evening at the Crayères spa.
