The 72 all-suite property is the work of the late Dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie (the modernist behind Aldo Bakker, Linteloo, and a generation of Dutch interior design), and the resort is essentially a Bouvrie design portfolio set into a tropical garden: white-walled suites, dark hardwood, sculptural lighting, the clean Bouvrie geometry against the Caribbean palms. The beach is a small private cove (Floris guests share access with the adjacent Hilton, with imported sand and a small reef).
