Wilderness's northern-Delta flagship sits on a private island surrounded by permanent water, with five ultra-luxury suites and two private villas tucked into a gallery forest of fig and jackalberry trees. The 2019 rebuild by legendary safari architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens is a near-masterpiece: Afro-retro pod-shaped suites with sliding glass walls, sunken living rooms, private plunge pools, salas, outdoor copper baths, and suites large enough to feel like private pavilions. The camp layers in an art gallery, a photographic studio, a serious spa with steam and sauna, a yoga deck and a wine cellar. The game viewing is water-forward and dreamlike — mokoro channels, floodplain drives, and a genuinely intimate feel with so few guests. For a honeymoon, there is no better Botswana address.
