The Virgin Limited Edition DNA is present from the moment you land on the Olare airstrip — your vehicle is waiting on the grass, your guide introduces himself, and the drive to camp is already a game drive. Arrival at the raised main deck with the Mara plains below you, Champagne in hand, is one of the great safari arrival moments in Africa.
Dawn Drive in the Private Conservancy
The Olare Motorogi Conservancy gives Mahali Mzuri's guides exclusive access to approximately 33,000 acres of prime Mara habitat — no park fees, no other vehicles, no pressure to share a sighting. Morning drives in this private land are often astonishingly productive, with lion and leopard sightings particularly regular. A hot bush breakfast is laid out beside the vehicle mid-drive.
Hot Air Balloon Over the Migration
Launch from the Mara plains at dawn and float above the wildebeest herds as the early light catches the grass. Mahali Mzuri coordinates with the best ballooning operators in the Mara, and the post-landing champagne breakfast in the bush — white tablecloths and silver service in the middle of nowhere — is a profoundly romantic experience.
Spa Afternoon & Private Bush Dinner
A slow morning and a full afternoon in the camp's spa — the Kilifaru Spa offers treatments incorporating wild-harvested Kenyan botanicals, Maasai ocher, and baobab oils. In the evening, your guide and team set up a private bush dinner 400 metres from camp: a fire, a table for two, and silence broken only by the distant bark of hyenas.
Maasai Tracking Walk
A guided walk with an armed ranger and a Maasai elder covers entirely different ground from the vehicle drives — tracking animals by footprint, learning bush medicine, and understanding the landscape at a human pace. The Olare Conservancy is safer and wilder than most walking safari areas in Kenya.

How do we get there?
Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport to the Olare airstrip — scheduled services with Air Kenya and Safarilink operate multiple times daily, approximately 45 minutes. The camp arranges the airstrip pickup. From international arrival at JKIA Nairobi, allow a half-day buffer before your Mara flight.
