The combination of serious Ritz-Carlton service polish, palace-scale architecture, and a riverside setting with private-pool villas at most price levels makes it arguably the most comfortable luxury pick in Ubud. What to know before you book
Not on the beach — Ubud is 90 minutes from the south Bali shoreline. Pair with a beach property if you want both.
The resort is a serious climb through the property to the river villas — buggies run constantly but it's not pure walk-anywhere flat.
Suites (not villas) do not have private pools and are the weakest value on the property; always commit to a Pool Villa for a honeymoon.
