The honest take

Thailand's 7-night format rewards the city + beach split. The Bangkok 2-night culture-and-food primer plus the Six Senses 5-night beach decompression is the proven Thai honeymoon rhythm. Couples who skip Bangkok miss the cultural depth; couples who give Bangkok 4+ nights miss the beach.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Six Senses Yao Noi or Amanpuri?

Both world-class. Six Senses Yao Noi is on the smaller Yao Noi island in Phang Nga Bay (more dramatic karst views, more isolated). Amanpuri is on Phuket's northwest coast (more accessible, more polished service). For pure honeymoon iconicness, Yao Noi.

Best month?

November–March is the dry, cool, low-humidity season. February–March are the absolute peak conditions. April starts getting humid; May–October is the southwest monsoon.

Is Bangkok worth 2 nights?

Yes for first-time Thailand. The Le Normandie / Bo.Lan / temple morning combination is genuinely different from generic Asian honeymoons. For repeat visitors, you can skip Bangkok and add 2 nights to the Yao Noi stay.

What about Chiang Mai?

For 10+ day trips, adding Chiang Mai (the cultural northern capital) is the right move. For 7 nights, Bangkok + beach is the right rhythm.
