Pearl Beach is the boutique, adults-skewing option among Bora Bora's five-star motu resorts — 50 bungalows instead of 100+, which completely changes the vibe. Set on Motu Tevairoa on the northern edge of the lagoon, it has a long soft-sand beach facing Mount Otemanu and one of the most consistent sunset views on the island. The overwater bungalows are the classic thatched-roof Polynesian design, each with a private deck, glass floor panel and a lagoon ladder; interiors feel warmer and more authentically Polynesian than the chain hotels. The Manea Spa (literally 'massage' in Tahitian) is the most-awarded spa on the island and the couples' cabana over the water is what honeymoons are made of. The resort skews heavily couples — you will not find the kids-club energy of Conrad or Hilton here, even though it is technically not adults-only.
