Couples Tower Isle

The Verdict
Worth it for your honeymoon?
Couples Tower Isle is one of Jamaica's most genuinely couples-focused all-inclusives — adults-only, no kids ever, and a guest body that is approximately 96% couples (often a mix of honeymooners, anniversaries, and returning couples on their fifth or tenth visit). Located on the north coast a few minutes east of Ocho Rios, the resort owns its own small offshore private island, Tower Isle, accessible by a short shuttle boat — clothing-optional sand on one side, a snorkeling reef on the other. The all-inclusive includes nearly everything a couples honeymoon could want.

Room Recommendation
Which room to book
The Verandah Suites are the strongest value — direct ocean views, a large private balcony, and proximity to the beach. The Penthouse Suites occupy the top floors of the original 1949 tower (the resort's namesake) with the best views of the bay and Tower Isle offshore. For honeymooners wanting maximum privacy, the Beachfront Suites have direct beach access and outdoor garden showers.

Day by Day
Your 7-night honeymoon itinerary
Arrival & North Coast Welcome
Fly into Sangster (MBJ) and transfer 90 minutes east along the north coast to Couples Tower Isle (Ian Fleming International OCJ is closer at 20 minutes if connections allow). All-inclusive wristband on, welcome rum punch, and a first dinner at one of the four included restaurants. The Patois Grill for jerk specialties is the right first night.
Tower Isle Private Island Day
Take the small shuttle boat to Tower Isle, the resort's private offshore cay — about a 4-minute ride. The clothing-optional side has the most privacy and the best snorkeling; the textile side has cabanas, a bar, and lunch service. The included scuba dive (one daily for certified divers) is a highlight on the offshore reef.
Dunn's River Falls
Couples runs included tours to Dunn's River Falls — the 180-foot terraced cascade is 25 minutes west in Ocho Rios. Go on the early shuttle to beat the cruise-ship crowds. The climbing-the-falls experience is the iconic Jamaica activity. Back to the resort for an afternoon at the spa.
Mystic Mountain & Bobsled Ride
Optional excursion (small extra fee) to Mystic Mountain near Ocho Rios — a chairlift up the rainforest, then a bobsled ride down the mountain on Olympic-style tracks (Jamaica's bobsled team trains here). Surprisingly fun and entirely Jamaica. Return to the resort for the included sunset catamaran cruise.
Spa, Beach & Watersports
A genuinely lazy day. Morning kayak in the bay, included tennis on the resort courts, spa massage in a beachfront cabana, and an afternoon at the swim-up pool bar. The all-inclusive premium liquor — proper rum, not just well drinks — is one of the resort's signature features.
Blue Mountain Coffee Tour
Day trip inland to a Blue Mountain coffee plantation (Mavis Bank or Craighton Estate) — Blue Mountain is the world's most expensive coffee, grown at altitude in the misty highlands. The drive itself is dramatic and the tour ends with tasting and a plantation lunch. Return for a final dinner at Bayside on the water.
Final Beach Morning & Departure
A final breakfast on the beach terrace, last morning swim, and the transfer back to MBJ. Couples loyalty programme means many honeymooners come back for anniversaries — the resort tracks return visits and treats returning couples like family.
Honest Assessment
What to know before you book
Tower Isle is the older of the two main Couples north-coast properties — the architecture and decor have a 1990s renovation feel, not the modern aesthetic of newer adults-only resorts; couples expecting cutting-edge design should manage expectations.
The all-inclusive food is good but not gourmet — variety is excellent across four restaurants but cooking is hotel-buffet calibre, not destination dining; the Patois Grill jerk is the standout.
The clothing-optional side of Tower Isle is genuine — couples sensitive to nudity should know it's part of the experience and plan accordingly.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Good for honeymooners?
Couples Tower Isle is built specifically for honeymooners and couples — adults-only, almost entirely couples-occupied, included tours, included scuba, included spa credit on weekly stays, and a private offshore island. For couples who want a genuinely all-inclusive Caribbean honeymoon without families, kids, or the chaotic energy of mass-market resorts, this is one of the strongest options in Jamaica.
Best time to visit?
Mid-December through April is peak — sunny, dry, calm seas. May through early June offers great rates before summer humidity. August through October has hurricane risk and the highest humidity. November is excellent shoulder season with low rates.
Book in advance?
High-season honeymoons should book 4 to 6 months ahead, especially for Beachfront Suites and Penthouse Suites. Off-season has more flexibility. Couples Resorts often runs multi-resort packages allowing a split stay between Tower Isle and Couples Sans Souci or Couples Negril.
Adults-only?
Yes — Couples Tower Isle is strictly adults-only (18+) and the guest body is approximately 96% couples. There are no children on the property at any time of year. This is one of the most consistently couples-focused all-inclusives in the Caribbean.
Best room type?
Verandah Suites offer the best value-to-experience ratio — ocean views, large balconies, and walkable to the beach. Penthouse Suites in the original tower have the best views of the bay and Tower Isle. Beachfront Suites with garden showers are the most private for honeymooners.
How to get there?
Sangster International (MBJ) in Montego Bay is the main gateway — a 90-minute private transfer (included in the package) east along the north coast. Ian Fleming International (OCJ) at Boscobel is closer (20 minutes) if connections from Miami are available.
