Outside the Haven zone, Domes of Elounda is genuinely a family resort — the main pool and restaurants can be loud at lunchtime in August. Book a Haven category specifically to access the adults-only experience.
The beach is small grey-pebble (not the white sand of the Caribbean honeymoon resort) — Mirabello Bay water is the draw, not the sand itself.
The cliffside terracing means lots of steps — golf carts shuttle continuously but the geography is not flat. Couples with mobility needs should request a Beachfront category.
