Te Tiare Beach Resort is the choice for couples who want French Polynesia before it became Instagram's honeymoon backdrop — Huahine is the 'Garden of Eden' island, lush and green, largely agricultural, with a fraction of the tourism of Bora Bora or Moorea. The resort is boat-access only (10 minutes from Fare, the main town), which instantly sets the tone: you arrive by private launch and the outside world disappears. 41 overwater and beach bungalows spread along a long, quiet white-sand beach, a small infinity pool, a modest spa, and a dining room overlooking the lagoon. Bungalows are authentic Polynesian thatched construction, recently refreshed inside, with private decks, outdoor showers and direct lagoon access.
