Where Bled is the postcard, Bohinj is the real Triglav National Park — bigger, colder, mostly undeveloped, surrounded by 2,500-metre peaks, and free of pletna boats, casino lights, or tour-bus crowds. The hotel is a contemporary 4-star property in Bohinjska Bistrica village, 5 minutes\' drive from the lake itself, built to the ECO standard (geothermal heating, low-impact construction, locally sourced materials). The wellness centre is genuinely good for the price point — indoor pool with mountain-glass window walls, four saunas, salt room, and treatment rooms. The restaurant offers a credible regional menu with local Bohinj trout, beef tartare, and the štruklji you should be eating in this part of the country.
