Brosundet is the romantic harbour hotel in art-nouveau Ålesund — 47 rooms in a converted 1905 warehouse on the canal, with a couple of cult signature rooms that nobody else in Norway can match. Room 47 is the Molja Lighthouse Suite at the end of the pier (literally a working lighthouse with a bed in it) and the Voldsund fishing-boat suite floats in the harbour. For a honeymoon it is the perfect Sunnmøre coast base: walking distance to every art-nouveau facade in town and ten minutes from the Hjørundfjord ferries.
